This painting is based on photos taken during a climb of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. This was done August 3, 2021, when I was celebrating my 80th birthday by climbing Half Dome with my friend Matt Hill. We left the trail head at 3:00 AM and were at the top about 10:30AM. This is a view from the very top of Half Dome. After we left the cables, I saw this young lady jumping up and down on the large rock that projects out from that location. I walked out on that ledge later but didn’t have the urge to do any jumping!
