This is a painting of the West Scipio School house, a one-room school house in North East Kansas as it would have looked like in the sixties. This morning, springtime image was created from a photo that was taken in the winter time with about six to eight inches of snow on the ground. The school house burned down many years ago and is no longer there, but the image was recreated for a man who attended the school when he was young and later owned the land and school as an adult.
Size: 14" X 18" - Oils on Panel
The original is unavailable, but the image can be purchased as limited edition giclees (original painting size), signed/serialized gallery wrapped canvas with certification. Please contact me for pricing and availability of other sizes and media.
